Diversification, or Oscar, as we call him at the barn, is a lovely 2009 Thoroughbred gelding.  He spent his entire racing career with the same owner-trainer, and raced his 25th and last race on October 11, 2014, and moved in with us the very next day.  He's quiet and willing under saddle, so much so that the kids were able to ride him around the farm within days of racing!  He spent his first year with us letting down and enjoying the occasional hack, then doing some light work over the ensuing months.  Summer 2016 brought his first show experiences, where he did extremely well with a new-to-showing rider.  No spooking, bucking, or misbehavior of any sort, this guy just doesn't put a foot wrong.  In 2017, he did a few starter events at Intro and Elementary, then in 2018 he moved up to BN, where he was always in the top three after dressage, and often finished on his dressage score. He has spent some time focusing on dressage, since that seems to be his favorite discipline, and he’s just a lovely mover. He has impeccable breeding by Pleasant Tap out of a Seattle Slew mare and stands a hair under 16.2Hh. We are excited to see where he goes!  Oscar is available for on-site lease.
